Peer Review Policy

Last updated: January 6, 2026

1) Overview

TheSustainImpact International Conference 2026 applies a structured review process to support fairness, quality, and transparency. Review steps differ by submission type (abstracts vs full papers) and by publication route (presentation only vs publication consideration).

  • Abstracts: editorial screening for relevance, clarity, and fit with the conference themes.
  • Full papers (for proceedings or publication consideration): double-blind peer review and editorial decision-making using defined criteria and conflict-of-interest safeguards.

Presentation acceptance does not automatically imply acceptance for any publication route. Publication opportunities, where applicable, follow their own review and editorial processes.

2) Abstract screening
  • Each abstract is screened by the conference editorial team for scope alignment, clarity, and relevance to the conference themes.
  • Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Authors are typically notified within ten working days. All abstracts submitted by February 14, 2026 will receive a decision no later than February 28, 2026.
3) Full paper peer review (for proceedings or publication consideration)

Full papers submitted for proceedings or other publication consideration are evaluated for quality and academic integrity. Each submission is intended to be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise, subject to reviewer availability and conflict checks.

Review model: double-blind peer review for proceedings submissions. Author and reviewer identities are concealed during review.

  • Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, independence, and absence of conflicts of interest.
  • Authors may be required to remove identifying details from manuscripts and file properties for anonymised review.
  • Reviewers are expected to treat all manuscripts as confidential.
4) Review criteria

Review and editorial assessment typically consider:

  • Relevance to the conference focus (education, innovation, business strategy, measurable sustainability impact)
  • Originality and contribution
  • Methodological clarity and rigor (as appropriate to the discipline)
  • Quality of analysis and argumentation
  • Structure, clarity, and presentation quality
  • Ethical and academic integrity expectations (including appropriate citation and responsible reporting)
5) Conflicts of interest and confidentiality
  • Editors and reviewers declare conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when a conflict exists.
  • Submissions, reviews, and decisions are treated as confidential within the review process.
6) Decisions and revisions

Editorial decisions may include:

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions
  • Major revisions
  • Reject

Where revisions are requested, authors should submit a revised manuscript and a short response note indicating how comments were addressed.

7) Integrity and ethical practice
  • Submissions must be original and appropriately referenced.
  • If integrity concerns arise, the conference editorial team may request clarification and supporting information.
  • Where a publication partner route applies, partner policies may also apply.
8) Terms, privacy, and contact
