3. General Requirements

  • Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts must be written in clear English.
  • All references must follow a recognized style (e.g., APA).
  • Authors must follow our Ethical Guidelines.
  • Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, and fabricated data are strictly prohibited.
  • Figures and tables must be of high quality and appropriately cited.

4. Peer Review

  • All submissions undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review (unless otherwise stated in the call).
  • At least two independent expert reviewers are assigned per manuscript.
  • Reviewers remain anonymous; authors’ identities are concealed during review.
  • Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or designated Section Editors.
  • Authors may be asked to revise manuscripts in response to reviewer or editor feedback. Revisions must be submitted within the specified deadline.
  • Details on appeals and complaints are provided in our Ethical Guidelines policy.

  • Accepted works are published in TheSustainImpact Conference Proceedings Series (ISSN 3051-7362) or future journals under TheSustainImpact imprint.
  • All publications are open access and freely available online.
  • Authors retain copyright and grant TheSustainImpact the right of first publication.
  • By default, articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, unless otherwise specified.

6. Fees and Open Access

  • Submission: No fees are charged for submitting a manuscript or for the initial review process.
  • Conference Registration Fees: If a registration fee applies to a specific conference, this fee covers event participation (sessions, program access, certificate) and inclusion of accepted work in the conference agenda. Registration fees are independent of any publication charges.
  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): For journal articles and proceedings papers, an APC may apply once a manuscript is accepted for publication. The amount depends on the type of publication (conference proceedings, journal issue, or other format) and will be clearly stated in the call for papers or acceptance letter.
  • External Publisher Fees: When accepted papers are published with an external partner (e.g., Scopus-indexed or Q-ranked journals), the publisher’s own APCs apply. These are separate from TheSustainImpact’s internal fees and will be communicated transparently to authors.
  • Open Access Policy: All publications under TheSustainImpact are open access. Authors retain copyright, and works are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license unless otherwise specified.
